Classic Scalextric, which it appears that you have, is compatible with Sport, which replaced Classic several years ago, by using adapter track sections available from any well-stocked Scalextric dealer. If the track has not been used for a long time the rails may need some attention. The rails are plated to resist corrosion, but after sitting in storage they may need to be cleaned.
